Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Morashid handles the information needed to provide its smart-home and energy-rationalization features. Morashid is designed to operate your homes, rooms, units, devices, automations, measurements, and AI assistance, not to monetize user data or sell it to third parties.

1. Scope and Service Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to Morashid services, including the mobile application, web dashboard, connected units, smart plugs, sensors, IR features, RF433 features, automations, activity history, measurements, account management flows, and the built-in AI energy assistant.

3. Account and Profile Information

Morashid may process the account information you provide to use the service, including:

  • First name and last name.
  • Email address used for sign in, verification codes, and password reset.
  • Phone number and country code used in your account profile.
  • Authentication-related information needed to sign in securely and manage your account.

4. Smart Home, Unit, and Device Information

Morashid is a smart-home control platform, so the service may process information such as:

  • Homes, rooms, room icons, device names, device icons, and unit display names.
  • Unit details such as model, firmware version, MAC address, WiFi signal, internal temperature, time zone, operating hours, and online or offline status.
  • Device settings such as timers, notification modes and messages, sensor startup delay, auto turn off, and maximum safe current.
  • Automations and commands such as scenes, sensor orders, DHT conditions, smart-plug self-protection rules, RF433 signals, and IR remote layouts and recorded commands.

5. Measurements, Logs, Notifications, and Support Data

Morashid may also process operational information needed to show the features described in the user manual, including power, voltage, current, frequency, internal temperature, humidity, activity timelines, device on or off durations, configured notification text, account verification codes, reset flows, and support-related communication you intentionally send through official Morashid channels.

6. AI Assistant Context

The Morashid AI assistant is designed to provide energy-rationalization advice based on your smart-home context. As described in the project and user manual, the assistant may use current device setup, room structure, live power readings, automations, unit status, application language, and related in-app context to generate personalized guidance.

7. How Morashid Uses Information

  • To create, verify, and manage user accounts.
  • To connect users with their homes, rooms, units, and devices.
  • To save and execute timers, scenes, RF433 assignments, IR remotes, and automation rules.
  • To display live and historical measurements, activity history, and unit information.
  • To deliver password reset flows, account verification, and device notification settings selected by the user.
  • To support unit WiFi configuration and related device setup workflows.
  • To provide AI responses tailored to the user's device setup and energy context.
  • To maintain service reliability, safety features, and troubleshooting capabilities.

8. Sharing and Third-Party Position

Morashid is not a product built for data brokerage, advertising resale, or unrelated user profiling. We do not sell or rent user information. We do not share user information with third parties for marketing, advertising, or unrelated analytics monetization.

9. Retention and Deletion

Morashid retains information only for as long as it is needed to provide the service, preserve your device setup, and support account functions. Based on the project documentation, device activity history is shown for up to 30 days, and logs older than 90 days may be deleted automatically. Timers, scenes, orders, remotes, unit names, homes, rooms, and other configuration items may remain until you edit, remove, archive, or delete them. Account deletion is described in the product as permanent and intended to erase the related account data, devices, and settings.

10. Security and Local or Remote Operation

Morashid uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect account access and service operation. The project also includes local-network configuration workflows, such as connecting temporarily to a unit WiFi network for setup. Some features run locally on hardware units, including saved timers, while other features such as remote control across units, cloud-backed status, and some automation paths may depend on internet connectivity. You remain responsible for protecting your account credentials, mobile device, home network, and physical access to your units.

11. User Choices and Controls

Within Morashid, users can manage a number of privacy-relevant controls, including:

  • Changing name, email, phone number, and password.
  • Turning notification modes on or off and customizing notification messages.
  • Managing homes, rooms, units, devices, timers, scenes, orders, and remote-control records.
  • Archiving or unarchiving units.
  • Changing language between English and Arabic.
  • Signing out or requesting permanent account deletion through the in-app account tools.

12. Children's Privacy

Morashid is a smart-home management platform and is not designed specifically for children. Users should ensure that accounts, automation rules, and remote-control capabilities are used responsibly and under appropriate supervision.

13. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, operational improvements, or legal requirements. When we do, the updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date.
